Cab Driver Makes Pretty Good Music Industry Analyst
Cab DriverJob Applicant Makes Pretty Good Music Industry Analyst
This video (WMV) is the funniest thing you'll see all week. Guaran-goddamn-teed.
Apparently, BBC producers rushed a cabbie into an interview thinking that he was an expert in online music. Turns out he was just hanging out in the lobby.
Here's the thing, though... After he got over his initial confusion, he actually did a pretty good job. It's not like he's going to be taking column inches from Rob Enderle, Roger Kay, Tim Bajarin, or Richard Doherty any time soon, but he stumbled through alright, all things considered. I mean... Hell... He probably had someone from Apple UK in his cab at least once.
I wonder if the anchor had any idea that this guy was more "Fare Play" than "FairPlay."
Hat-tip: Groovy Mother by way of Leah Jones.
UPDATE: Tom Biro updates me. The "cabbie" isn't so much a cabbie but, according to Guy Kewney (the intended commentator) "he was applying for a high level IT job with the BBC."
